Old Woking SureStart Children's Centre



	We are currently offering the following FREE courses to parents and carers (including grandparents) of 0-5 year olds. Courses run through the week will also provide a FREE crèche with qualified Crèche staff to look after any children aged 0-5yrs. Please contact the Children's Centre to put your name down or for more details on any of the courses featured below.
	Handa's Surprise A short 5 hr programme to support language development. Parents will also have the opportunity to create their own Story Sack, a craft item that makes a story 'come to life'. Learners can progress from this onto Adult numeracy. Handa's Surprise is proposed to take place during Autumn 2011, dates TBC. Family First Aid We have booked the next First Aid programme for Saturday 22nd and 29th October. As this one will be running over two Saturdays, there will be no crèche. This will mean however that Dads will get the opportunity to attend if they want! Healthy Living and Eating 'Magic Maths' This 4 week programme is currently running with FREE crèche. Activities are based on fun with numbers and your child. Following the success of the taster session we are now offering a 5 week programme with parents and children (age 2 and over) participation. Lots of fun activities based on 'The Hungry Caterpillar' and other books. Adult numeracy Family Links/ Parenting Puzzle A parenting programme involving nurturing is proposed to run from Monday 26th September to Monday 5th December 2011 (with half term break). This is a very popular group so do not delay in putting your name down to secure a place! HENRY A programme which looks at health exercise nutrition for the really young. (Start date expected to be early 2012, TBC)
