Adult and family learning

Families teach us the most important things in life. By doing activities together, families can help children get more from school – from better grades to scoring more goals. There is also a free crèche with qualified carers available to support the courses.

Adults can also benefit from doing things with kids – from learning the latest computer skills to having fun with painting.

Family fun isn't just for you and the kids – dads, mums, step-parents, carers, aunts, uncles and grandparents can all join in too.

'Children whose parents support their learning and take an interest in their education do better at school and later on in life'.

Family learning helps adults to understand how children learn and what they are learning at school in the 21st century.

You learn new skills so can support your children with those homework questions!

Why not talk today to your Children's Centre manager and ask about family Learning activities – she will know just what to do next! Or call Helen in the Family Learning office on 01932 794541.
